HOW TO IRON THE STAR AND THE MATCH DETAILS
ON THE SPAIN SHIRT
Although it is possible to iron these items with a home iron, it is strongly recommended that you use a commercial heat pressing machine such as the one pictured above. Commercial heat presses are able to control temperature and pressure; most household irons cannot. Most t-shirt printing shops have a heat pressing machine and can provide this service for a small fee.
First, place the shirt on the iron and measure the placement of the star and transfer carefully. The temperature should be set to 165 degrees celsius. You may want to iron the shirt beforehand so that it is smooth. If you do this, make sure to let it cool off completely before placing the transfer on it.

Cover the shirt with a sheet of Teflon® paper and press for ten seconds. Remove the shirt carefully and let it cool off until it is no longer hot. A cooling off period of 3-4 minutes should be enough.
After the transfer is no longer hot, peel it off in one slow and steady motion, preferably from bottom to top. The transfer should peel off without any problems. If you cannot lift the transfer sheet (or if it starts to tear), do not keep pulling. Just reheat that area for 10 seconds and peel again.

Unlike the transfer which is made of poliflex, the star is embroidered in cloth and much thicker. It can be ironed with a normal house iron. To ensure that it will stick to your shirt, make sure to iron it not only from the front but also from the inside of the shirt.

Your shirt is ready to go. With proper care, these transfers and patches should last for as long as you have your shirt. To ensure this, please make sure to follow the washing instructions below....
-----------------------------------
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
1. You should wash your shirt by hand, but if you want to use a washing machine, make sure to turn your shirt inside out. This will minimize the amount of abrasion that the transfer will encounter with other garments in the wash.
2. Wash the shirt in cold water using a mild detergent. DO NOT USE BLEACH.
3. Remove the shirt from the wash immediately and allow to air dry. If you are going to tumble dry, use the air only setting. By doing this you will be ensuring that your transfer stays clear and bright.
4. If your shirt needs to be ironed, do not iron directly on the transfer. Use a Teflon® sheet or a thin piece of cloth (such as a pillowcase) to cover the transfer before ironing.
